Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Wiktor AI(“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on wiktor.app and related apps. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar storage such as local storage and session cookies for authentication, security, and preferences.
3. Cookies we use
- Essential / authentication — signed session cookies so you stay signed in (user or admin) and so account-protected APIs work.
- Security — CSRF tokens and related protections on mutating API requests.
- Preferences — theme (light/dark), language, and similar UI settings where stored in cookies or local storage.
- Operational — limited technical data needed to run rate limiting, load balancing, or error diagnostics.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies to build ad profiles across unrelated sites as part of the core product experience described here.
4. Legal bases
Essential cookies are necessary to provide the service you request. Preference cookies support a better experience; where required by law, we will request consent for non-essential cookies.
5. How long cookies last
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or sign out. Persistent cookies (for example a longer-lived signed session) last for a limited period (on the order of weeks) unless cleared earlier. Preference storage may remain until you clear site data.
6. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and core features from working. You can also sign out from the product to invalidate session cookies we control.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.
8. Contact
Questions about cookies or privacy can be raised through your account dashboard or via wiktor.app.
